|Title||William Dean Howell's in St. Augustine: El Escribano 1990|
|Scope & Content||
ACQUISITION: These papers were donated by William McGuire
after writing for El Scribano 1990.
SCOPE & CONTENT NOTE:
The collection consists of some of W. D. Howells' writings, biographical notes, memories of his Great-Granddaughter, John Updike on the 150th anniversary of W. D. Howells' birth, a listing of his letters from Houghton Library, Harvard University, and letters used by Wm. McGuire in writing for El Scribano, 1990. The collection gives some idea of the work of a researcher, and how the Research Library works with him and how seemingly unconnected incidents come together to produce the annual publication of the Society, El Escribano.
