ACQUISITION: Accumulated from various files in the Society library.
Fredrick Delius was a British musical composer born in 1863. He arrived in Florida in order to become an orange planter and devoted his spare time to musical study. In 1886, he left Florida, never to come back. He moved to Leipzig where he underwent formal musical training. His music as a whole is too delicate and restrained in character to have secured him a wide general favor although he is considered a master of his time.
